A Thank You Letter from Scott Wood

Dear Sedgefield Constituency,

Scott_Wood_Conservative_Election_CandidateI should like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has taken the time to vote in the General Election and who voted for me in the Constituency of Sedgefield, a total of 11,143 unspoiled votes.

The Conservative vote for Sedgefield this year was strong and has not been like this since 1970.  Throughout the country the electorate voted for the right to succeed, and with my delight we have a  Conservative majority Government elected for the first time since 1992.

The United Kingdom needs a strong economy and fair society, as was voted for and I Am very proud to have made inroads into this now former Labour stronghold and will continue to be active in Conservative party politics.

I would also like to thank all candidates for what was an interesting campaign and wish them all success in the future. For the elected Sedgefield MP, I offer again my congratulations. I can only ask for hard work, commitment, presence and above all transparency in this term.

Yours Sincerely
Scott Wood
