FUTURE ACTIVITIES

We have been successful in securing funding to continue the over 50s group every Friday morning 10am till 12 noon followed by a hot meal, great opportunity to get out and socialise, have a go at a new craft or just chat and have a hot meal afterwards – we hope to combat loneliness and social isolation – please come along to this or encourage anyone you may know to attend.

We have welcomed back the clairvoyant evenings, firstly with Irene Wilson Aug 7th, and back again Sept 25th and hopefully each month with a different guest – possibly open circle meetings too – watch this space!!

We will be changing our parent & toddler session from a Monday morning to an afternoon as from September which is ran entirely by parents and grandparents – come along with your children let them socialise and have fun, they will probably end up going to nursery together which will make the transition much easier!

We now are ready to make the community centre Dementia Friendly, having new carpets fitted throughout, altering signage, working with local partnerships and would encourage anyone to come along to our Friday morning events.

OPEN DAY! We are planning an open day to showcase what we do have going on in the community centre so please keep an eye out and if you would like to help please give us a shout ??

Working with Trimdon Community College over the holidays to bring summer fun for all children over 7 and family events – check out the local websites and facebook pages for more information and school bags for forms

Starlight Jazz Band annual festival are coming along Sunday Sept 30th to showcase around 12 bands, hope for nice weather and they will parade around the play area and MUGA pitch. Also hot food and refreshments, tombola etc in the community centre – 10.30am – 5pm

Volunteers desperately needed! If you can help out in anyway, looking for funding, health & safety and policies – then please please get in touch – keep the centre busy and use it, it’s YOURS
