Only a few days remain to submit photographs for possible use in the 2022 annual calendar produced by the Friends of St Edmund’s Church in Sedgefield. The deadline has been set at Saturday, September 18.
“The selection panel will then meet to decide which photographs will be used and send them to the printer so that the calendars can be out on sale by mid-October,” said Brian Mutch, membership secretary of the Friends, this week.
Photographs, which can be in colour or black and white, can be e-mailed to Brian (pictured) at b.mutch@btconnect.com or by ringing him on 01740 622302.
There is no set subject this year but photographs must feature shots of Sedgefield or the immediate area.
For local people unable to purchase copies from traditional sources when they become available, Brian and his wife, Christine, will come to homes by arrangement and take payment via the group’s hand-held card machine.
“This proved a very successful system in the past and we are hoping to repeat the complete sell-out we experienced last year,” said Brian.
The Friends are also hoping that a commercial outlet in the town will volunteer to be the town’s principal sales outlet for the community since the proprietors of Toshachs, long-time supporters of the group, are now selling independently around the area.
