Church ‘Friends’ re-launch popular Christmas Cards – and you don’t need to leave home to get them !
Last year’s Christmas card produced by the Friends of St Edmund’s Church proved such an outstanding success that it is to be reprinted for use this year – but with one subtle difference which supporters are being invited to identify.
“You will need sharp eyes to spot the change in the design but we thought it would add an extra bit of interest to the card,” said membership secretary Brian Mutch this week.
The answer will be published on the Friends’ website in late January.
This year’s tri-fold card depicts the interior and exterior of the entrance to St Edmund’s and comes with envelopes in packs of 5 for just £5
"We still have our range of the Sedgefield street scene in the snow and a view of the village from Hardwick Park in packs of five for £4.00 as well as the ever popular reindeers outside the church in packs of 10 for £3.00,” said Brian
He added: “Coronavirus constraints are obviously preventing people in the community from getting out and about, so we have decided to provide a free, socially-distanced delivery to people in and around the town
Orders can be placed from the comfort of home by contacting Brian on 01740 622302, via e-mail (b.mutch@btconnect.com) or at 6 Hasledon Grove, Sedgefield, TS21 2JW. For the first time, the Friends also have the facility for people to pay by credit or debit card.
Footnote: This year’s calendar produced by the Friends featuring scenes shot by local photographers has proved so popular that fewer than a dozen still remain from the initial print run of 200. “Depending on future orders, a reprint may be necessary, as it was last year”, said Brian. “We know the calendars have been sent over a wide area and even overseas as many people now use the calendar as a much-appreciated Christmas gift”.
