Invitation to capture the ‘spirit of Sedgefield’

Brian MutchPhotographers in and around Sedgefield are being invited to test their creative skills by capturing images depicting ‘the spirit of Sedgefield’ for possible use in the 2021 calendar planned by Friends of St Edmund’s Church.

Membership secretary Brian Mutch (pictured) said this week: “We’re looking for pictures showing more than the local beauty spots and events we have featured in the past two years.  We’d like to see interpretative shots depicting aspects of life that make our town the special place it is”.

Entries can be in colour or monochrome and suitable for use in the now traditional, slimline, month-by-month, hang-anywhere calendar which has proved extremely popular with people over a wide area since it was first launched.

Brian added: “Although opportunities to get out and about taking pictures may be restricted at the moment because of the coronavirus, we believe that some people will welcome the chance to look for unusual subjects while out on their permitted daily exercise walks.”

Entries can be sent to Brian via e-mail at b.mutch@btconnect.com or as hard copies to 6 Hasledon Grove, Sedgefield, TS21 2JW.  He would be happy to provide further information on 01740 622302.
