Minutes of the  Meeting of Trimdon Foundry Parish Council held on Tuesday 12th September  2017 at 7.30 pm in May Crescent Community Centre.

100/17 Present: – Councillors Brian Ferguson (Chairman), Maureen Lenehan-Ferguson, Jean Loverance, Margaret Eadsforth, Gail Elliott, GaryElliott.

101/17 Apologies: – Nil
County Councillor Lucy Hovvels was in attendance.
 Mr. John Robinson Parish Clerk was also in attendance.
There were 3 members of the public present.

Before commencing the meting the Chairman welcomed Mr. Ron Hogg Police,Crime and Victim Commissioner for Durham and Darlington to the meeting. He advised both Councillors and members of the public that the format of the meeting has been altered to accommodate the PCC visit. All items will be deffered to the October meeting which is to be held on the 3rd October 2017 to ensure northing id lost.

102/17 Notice of Motion
It was proposed Cllr. Brian Ferguson and seconded Cllr. Maureen Lenehan Ferguson that the Notice of Motion summoning the meeting be agreed. This was carried.

105/17 Minutes of monthly meeting held on 11th July 2017
The minutes of the above were considered for adoption
Resolved: – on a motion proposed by Cllr. Eadsforth and seconded by Cllr. Lenehan-Ferguson the minutes were agreed.

106/17PCC R.Hogg
Mr.Hogg gave an over view of his role in the Police and the potential help he may give to the Council.

Members then raised a seires of issues and concerns in regards to issues within the Parish.. He agreed to take all issues directly to the Chief Constable and report back to the Council via the Clerk. He also advised there are a number of community funds he can access to support projects within the Parish. He again agreed to raise these areas with the Chief Constable and report back to the Councl. Finally he agreed to supply contact details of the new Polcie 0fficer and PCSO allocated to the Parish. 

The Chairman then opened the meeting to allow members of the public to question and raise concerns with the PCC.

Mr. Hogg closed his part within the meeting reassuring those present that any issues they have to contact him directly and he will follow up.

The Chairman thanked Mr. Hogg for attending the meeting and looked forward to his follow up report. 

 

There were no matters to discuss under exempt information. The meeting closed 8.43pm.
