Hi all,

Hope you are all well,
Following a communication from the FA relating to the suspension, subject to house of commons approval tomorrow, of all footballing activities for the period of the up coming national lockdown, this means everything stops for us from Wednesday evening 4th Nov until the 2nd December. Although disappointing it is aimed at protecting us all and as such we will support it entirely


Season 2019 to 2020 closure:

Presentation Events:
We still intend to hold our usual presentation evenings as soon as it is safe and allowable to do so; we will advise you of dates as soon as possible. We have ordered individual trophies for each child as normal and you should have been asked by your team managers for your and your child’s votes for Parents and Players Player of the year awards as normal; please submit these as soon as possible to support trophy ordering

Unfortunately we have taken the decision to cancel our own summer tournament in July as we cannot see a lifting of restrictions for a gathering of such a size before then; this is disappointing but we feel it is the safest thing to do at present. We have not entirely ruled out trying to hold an event later in the summer but there is only a slim chance of this happening.

We have also decided not to attend any tournaments hosted by other clubs in July to avoid the risk of exposing both our children and yourselves to large gatherings even if they are permitted; this is a safeguarding decision aimed at protecting everyone. We will review tournament attendance in August in line with any guidelines issued by the Government and Durham County FA

Preparations for 2020 to 2021 Season:

County FA and League Registrations
We are in the process of registering the Club and our Teams with Durham FA and relevant leagues in preparation for next season with progress to date as follows:

U12’s RFYL – the team is registered for next season and players have been assigned to the team; Mark and I will attend the Virtual League AGM in early June and advise you further once we know more at their plans.

TJFA – Club and Team registration paperwork has been received today and I will complete these registrations in the next week or so securing our league places for next season

DFA – we will complete team and club registrations once DFA issue their paperwork

Player Registrations
Your team managers will have / will be in contact shortly regarding player registration photographs and details required for any new players.

Training and Friendly Matches
As soon as we are safely able to do so we will return to training and look to arrange friendly games to get the squads ready for next season,, again this will be in line with government and FA guidance.

Player Subscriptions:
Again we would ask that where possible we continue to pay our player subscriptions; please note we do not expect anyone who is suffering financial difficulty to continue paying.

Player subscriptions will be used as follows:

1. Continue to support the community college with their charitable work across local communities.

2. Continue to make donations to the local Food Bank to support members of our community who need additional support throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.

3. Register our teams with the County FA and Leagues to allow the children to take part in next years league and cup competitions.

Remember if you are having any difficulty in making subscription payments simply stop and start again when you are able; please drop your individual team manager a message to record this.

Football Development Plan 2017/21

We are a well established English FA Charter Standard approved Juniors Football Club catering for children from 4 to 18 years of age.
Every child is welcome to come along and join the club where we promote the ethos of fair play and sportsmanship at all times whilst encouraging the young people to develop their footballing excellence and general fitness. The children will gain a sense of belonging to the club and their own team as well as making new friends within the club and through meeting other children in the area when we take part in tournaments an league matches.
