Young dancers from Sophie Johnson’s Dance It Live it dance school have wowed judges at the 2015 World Championship dancing competition.

A group of 15 young people from Dance It Live It competed at Blackpool at The World Championships and scooped a collection of awards at the competition which was held in Blackpool Winter Gardens at the end of June.
With over a thousand dancers representing 114 dancing schools from across the globe, the school returned with a total of 17 trophies including one for the new World Champion 15 year old Kieran Price.

Dance teacher Sophie Johnson said “We are all overjoyed at our achievements. All the young people worked extremely hard to achieve this level of success and should be proud of themselves and their unequivocal commitment”.

The competition took place on Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th June 2015

  • Worlds Dancers –
    Kieran Price, Savanah Brien, Danya Salmon, Molly Collins, Ellie Collins.
    Ella Darby, Georgia Taylor, Sophie Walker, Kaitlyn Forbes.
    Pati Mrowczyk, Reanna Edge, Lily Darby, Eddi-Freya Tinkler, Matilda Taylor.

  • 1 World Champion Winner, Kieran Price (15) from Dance It, Live It
  • Many trophies returned with the dancers back to Trimdon, Co.Durham!
  • 114 dance schools where at the competition, including schools from South Africa, Norway and across the globe!
  • Over a thousand competitors in attendance.
  • Outstanding performances from Dance It Live It competitors – Kieran Price winning trophies in all three competitions that he entered (winning Lyrical Slow Dance, 4th in Fast Freestyle and Runners Up in his duet pairs dance with partner Savanah Brien).

 

A group of 9 dancers then went on to compete the week after at Wolverhampton at The ICON Championships.

  • 5 Trophies returned back with us – Kieran Price 15 placing in both Lyrical and Freestyle in the Championship categories taking a super 3rd and 4th place. Kailtin Forbes 9, Lily Darby 8 and Eddi Freya Tinkler aged only 4!… all winning trophies also!
  • Over a thousand competitors in attendance!
