AT THE ANNUAL TRIMDON PARISH COUNCIL MEETING held in the Community College Trimdon on TUESDAY 14 MAY 2013 at 6.55 p.m.

The Minutes of the Annual Parish Meeting held on 8 May 2013 were confirmed as a correct record.
With regard to the housing issue raised at the meeting it was reported that the local MP P Wilson had contacted Livin Housing about the complaint but that upon inspection the house was considered to be in a satisfactory condition.
There were no questions from the public.

1. Declaration of Result of Uncontested Elections
The Council noted the results of the uncontested elections for the uncontested wards of Old Trimdon and New Trimdon and Trimdon Grange Ward.
2. Declarations of Acceptance of Office
The Clerk informed the meeting that all Councillors present had signed the Declaration of Acceptance of Office forms.
3. Election of Chair
Resolved
That Councillor G Elliott be elected Chair of the Council for the ensuing year.
Councillor G Elliott signed the Declaration of Acceptance of Office Form.

2. Appointment of Vice-Chair
Resolved
That Councillor J Burton be appointed Vice-Chair of the Council for the ensuing year.
4. Minutes
The Minutes of the Annual Meeting of the Council held on 8 May 2012 were confirmed as a correct record and signed by the Chair.
5. To Fix a Date for the signing of Declarations of Acceptance of Office.
Resolved
That those Councillors not having yet signed a declaration of Acceptance of Office form have until the date of the next meeting of the Council namely 11 June 2013 to so do.
6. Appointment of Representatives to Other Bodies
Resolved
That the following appointments be made for the ensuing year –

7. Committees of the Council
Resolved
1. That the following constitute the membership of the Human Resources Committee –
Councillors Burton Dickinson G R Elliott Hughes and Oliver
2. That the whole Council constitute the membership of the Quality Status Committee.
7. Role of County Councillors
The Council noted that its recently elected 3 County Councillors now had 6 parishes within their Electoral Division and that they had agreed to share responsibility for attending parish council meetings with each accepting lead responsibility for 2 councils.
In the case of Trimdon Parish Council this would be Peter Brookes.
It was agreed that Councillor Brookes be formally invited to meetings of the Parish Council and that he received a full set of papers for each meeting.
