Information Update – 15th July 2010

Vehicle Security
Between the February and April 2010 in excess of 30 vehicles were entered and property stolen in the Fishburn and Sedgefield area. All vehicles targeted were left insecure and some property was left on display. As a result of this a local male was arrested and charged with the offences which ranged from Sedgefield to the Coxhoe and Wheatley Hill areas. The male concerned received a suspended sentence and is still residing in the Trimdon area. This month we have had an incident where an insecure vehicle was targeted in Trimdon Village , can I ask that all vehicle owners lock and secure their vehicles and do not leave a property on display in vehicles.

School Premises
With the school holiday period approach school premises are often the target for damage and anti social behaviour. Anyone found on school premises should only be there with permission or part of an organised event. Extra patrols will be conducted of schools in the coming weeks and anyone found on premises without a valid reason will have positive action taken against them.
