Information Update – 12th November 2010

Lead Thefts
Over ten separate incidents of lead thefts from properties reported in one week in Trimdon Village. At time or writing the incidents have stopped the use of anti vandal paint and DNA grease has been used and hopefully this will continue to deter the persons responsible. Anyone with any information in relation to these crimes please contact me.

Operation Winter NightsWinter Nights
This operation will run until March 2011 the main emphasis is the security of your own home and vehicles. The main message is NOT TO LEAVE YOUR HOUSE IN DARKNESS and the aim is to reduce and remove opportunities for house burglaries as the nights get darker.

* Consider leaving a light on.
* Lock your doors and windows.
* Close curtains.
* If you have an alarm use it.

Statistics show that if you leave your house in darkness it is more likely to be burgled, if you leave your house in darkness it is more vulnerable and if you leave your house in darkness it stands out during the winter nights.
