Information Update – 15th April 2010

Anti Social Behaviour – Church Road Trimdon Village
Unfortunately complaints of anti social behaviour and street drinking continues in this location, individuals who continue to frequent this location and act in a disorderly manner in particular on Friday evenings will be moved. Anyone who is moved and then congregates at the Village Hall will also be moved this is as a result of five incidents of damage to the Village Hall. Anyone who continues to congregate in these two locations will have they names and addresses taken and home visits will follow. Increased patrols will continue and using covert tactics and high visibility patrols arrests will be made when appropriate.

Vehicle Crime
Vehicle crime continues in neighbouring villages again insecure vehicles are being targeted overnight. Property ranging from Lap tops to coats and loose change has been taken. Please secure all vehicles overnight and remove all valuables from display.

Operation Phoenix 2010
This operation has been set up to combat complaints of use of off road motorcycles in an anti social manner. Historically complaints increase in the Spring/Summer, using local intelligence riders will be targeted. Anyone who rides a vehicle an anti social manner will be either issued a formal warning or have they vehicle seized if they don’t abide by the first warning. Any one using a motor vehicle on the public highway must have valid licence and insurance failure to adhere to this will result in court action.

Trimdon Village Wednesday the 28th of April 2010 6pm at Trimdon Community College Elwick.
Trimdon Grange and Colliery Monday the 19th of April 2010 at Trimdon Grange Community Centre.

These meetings are open to all members of the public any concerns or complaints will be addressed.
