Information Update – 15th February 2008
Vehicle Crime
This year we have had a significant rise in vehicle crime all incidents have occurred during daylight hours and involved keys being left in the ignition. A recent incident in Trimdon Grange where a Ford Focus was stolen involved the unfortunate victim unloading bags of compost from his vehicle whilst he was at the rear of his property and out of view the suspect took his vehicle off his driveway. Another incident involved a vehicle with keys and engine running on a frosty morning awaiting to defrost, again whilst the victim is out of sight the suspects acts quickly and takes the vehicle. Please do not leave any keys in your vehicle for any length of time.
Trimdon Colliery Community Centre
Over recent weeks there has been substantial damage caused to this premises, at time of writing no suspects have been identified. Anyone who has any information in relation to these crimes please contact me any information received will be acted on and positive action taken.
School Parking
Can all parents please take extra care when parking in and around schools in the Trimdons. We have recent complaints of driveways being blocked and vehicles being left in dangerous positions on junctions. Anyone who does not adhere to the restrictions will receive a fixed penalty notice incurring a 30 pound fine, due to the volume of complaints received we are not in the position to issue any warning notices.
