Trimdon Parish Council Annual Meeting 13th May 2014

Minutes of the Annual General Meeting of Trimdon Parish Council held in Trimdon Grange Community Centre on Tuesday 13 May 2014 at 7:00pm.

Present: Councillor George Elliott Snr. (in the Chair) and Councillors Sheila Appleton, John Burton, Eileen Dickinson, George Elliott, Margaret Hughes, Bernadette Oliver and Paul Trippett

Anne Delandre, Clerk to the Council, was also in attendance.

1. ELECTION OF CHAIRMAN

Nominations were received for the appointment of John Burton as Chairman for the forthcoming year.

Resolved that John Burton be elected as Chairman for the forthcoming year.

2. CHAIRMAN’S DECLARATION OF ACCEPTANCE OF OFFICE

John Burton signed the Declaration of Acceptance of Office.

Resolved that the Declaration of Acceptance of Office be accepted.

3. ELECTION OF VICE CHAIRMAN

Nominations were received for the appointment of George Elliott Snr. as Vice Chairman for the forthcoming year.

Resolved that George Elliott Snr. be elected as Vice Chairman for the forthcoming year.

4. MINUTES OF THE ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING HELD ON 14 MAY 2013

Resolved that the minutes of the Annual General Meeting held on 14 May 2013 be accepted as a true record.

5. APPOINTMENT OF REPRESENTATIVES TO OUTSIDE BODIES

a) Trimdon Grange Community Centre
Resolved that Paul Trippett be the Parish Council’s representative
b) Trimdon Village Hall
Resolved that John Burton be the Parish Council’s representative
c) Trimdon Colliery Community Association
Resolved that George Elliott Snr. be the Parish Council’s representative
d) Sedgefield District Relief in Need Charity
Resolved that the Parish Council be represented by County Councillor Peter Brookes
e) AAP Area Local Council Committee
Resolved that John Burton be the Parish Council’s representative
f) Coxhoe Quarry Liaison Committee
Resolved that John Burton be the Parish Council’s representative
g) Trimdon Community College Association
Resolved that Bernadette Oliver be the Parish Council’s representative

6. PERSONS APPOINTED TO PARISH COUNCIL SUB-COMMITTEES

a) Personnel Sub-Committee
Resolved that Bernadette Oliver, Margaret Hughes, Eileen Dickinson, John Burton and County Councillor Peter Brookes (ex officio) be appointed to the Personnel Sub-Committee

7. TO AGREE MEETING DATES FOR 2014/2015

Consideration was given to the proposed meeting dates for 2014/2015 which had previously been circulated.

Resolved that the proposed dates be approved.
