Information Update – 16th September 2011

Shed and Bike Thefts Trimdon Village
In recent week’s thefts from sheds in particular bikes have continued, the neighbourhood team have carried out extra overnight patrols in the Village in order to try and locate and arrest the suspects for these offences. Anyone who has any information in relation to these offences can contact me, all information will be dealt with confidentially. Can everyone who has a bike or shed please take adequate steps to secure their property in order for any further offences to be prevented.

School Watch – Winter Nights
The School Watch scheme we launched over the summer holidays will continue, anyone found on any of the local school premises out of school hours without good reason will be dealt with positively and we will consider using the offence of causing a nuisance of educational premises when necessary.

Next PACT Meetings
Trimdon Village 6pm on Wednesday the 28th of September 2011 at the Community College.
Trimdon Grange and Colliery 6pm on Monday the 3rd of October 2011 at Trimdon Grange Community Centre.

The below PACT Priority has been agreed for October 2011.
Speeding Complaints on the B1278 near Trimdon Village Cross roads.
The following actions will be carried out by the Neighbourhood Police Team:
1. Speed Matrix equipment to be deployed.
2. High Visibility and static patrols to be conducted.
3. Positive action to be taken against all vehicles driving at excess speed.
