It was great watching everyone having FUN… The event was inclusive and all activities were free. A parent quoted “it was great seeing something for the children and young people to do in Trimdon Colliery” for a change.

The event on Wednesday 28th July was officially opened for Cllr Lucy Hovvels. Then the FUN started with lots of activities provided by:-

EDPCN (arts/crafts, badge-maker, paper crafts)
EDPCN Play Rangers
Joyce (Face Painting and Tatoo’s)
Wildchilds (Rhodeo Bull and Sumo Suits)

Groundwork North East provided a sports coach, graffiti artist, volunteers and free fruit for all the children.

Trimdon Colliery Community Centre Association organised a take your pick stall and also a raffle, lots of fantastic prizes were won.
Michelle from Café Seile had gorgeous cakes and scones for sale, you just had to buy some to try.
