SKERNE PARK PLAY AREA
The play area was officially opened by John Burton and Paul Trippett on Saturday 22nd July 2005. The opening was very well attended and the play equipment proved a great success with the children.
HOUSING PROVISION THROUGHOUT THE PARISH
The Council continues to support the provision of new housing throughout the Parish area.
An application for 44 houses in Trimdon Grange has been lodged with the Borough Council and will be the subject of public consultation shortly.
Efforts are also being made to attract a developer for land behind the former Locomotive Inn at Trimdon Colliery.
Trimdon Colliery Play Area
The Parish has supported a planning application to build a new play area in the grounds of the Trimdon Colliery Community Centre. Play equipment to be provided is similar to the Skerne Park development.
PARISH PLAN
The Council is hoping to develop a Parish Plan, the content of which will be based on ideas and aspirations of the residents of the parish following a public consultation exercise.
It is hoped the public consultation will take place this autumn and residents are asked to give some thought in the meantime as to how you think the Parish Council can improve things to make the area a more pleasant place to live and work..
