OF THE ANNUAL PARISH MEETING OF THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT ELECTORS
OF THE PARISH OF TRIMDON FOUNDRY
HELD ON TUESDAY 7TH MAY 2013

There were 6 members of the public present.

  1. THE MINUTES OF THE ANNUAL PARISH MEETING OF THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT ELECTORS OF THE PARISH OF TRIMDON FOUNDRY held on 9th May 2012 a copy of which had been circulated to those present, were confirmed as a true record.
  1. THE FINANCIAL STATEMENT FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31ST MARCH 2013 & AUDIT FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31ST MARCH 2012

The Report of the Parish Council’s Accounts for the year ended 31st March 2013 a copy of which had been circulated to those present, was considered.  The report of the Council’s Auditor BDO Stoy Hayward for the year ended 31st March 2012 had been received with no action being required.

RESOLVED that the report of the Parish Council’s Accounts for the year ended 31st March 2013 be received and the information given, be noted.

  1. LIST OF PROJECTS CARRIED OUT DURING 20012/2013

Councillor J Grigg, Chairman reported in detail the actions and work which had been carried out by the Parish Council over the past year which included:-

  1. Traffic Management Scheme for Tobin Street
  2. Continuation of the Memorial Garden Scheme by Improving the Car Park Facilities
  3. Increase in the Supply of Flower Displays and Planters
  4. Increase in the supply of Grit Bins around The Village
  5. Essential Repair of the Fence at Malvern Crescent
  6. Provision of Dog Bags Free of Charge to all residents
  7. Replacement of the Pit Pony Sculpture – Joint Working With Wheatley Hill Parish Council
  8. Partnership Arrangements with the New Owner of St Pauls Church to retain and maintain the Church Clock and it’s Chimes
  9. To act as a pressure group on various issues including planning matters, (Windfarms), and road safety issues, (20mph request and traffic monitoring)
  10. Working in partnership with the Police and other agencies to improve the safety and well being of residents
  11. Schemes Committed to but not yet Complete:-

Gateway Scheme for improved Signage for the Village

Phase 2 of the Memorial Garden Scheme

  1. Donations to the following groups/organizations:-
  • Deaf Hill Ward Regeneration Partnership
  • Trimdon Station Resident’s Association
  • Hartlepool & District Hospice
  • Great North Air Ambulance
  • Royal British Legion
  • Durham County Council Benevolent Fund.

RESOLVED the report of the Chairman be received.

  1. RESOLUTIONS OF WHICH WRITTEN NOTICE HAD BEEN RECEIVED

The Clerk reported that no written notices of resolutions had been received.
RESOLVED that the information given be noted.

  1. OPEN SESSION

The issue of problems with dog fouling in the village was raised by a member of the public.  The Chairman assured that this was an issue that the Parish Council were doing their best to work in partnership with Durham County Council to improve.
