Information Update – 11th October 2007

Operation Darc
This operation will be launched in November 2007 the aim of the operation is to raise awareness of householders during the winter months. Statistics show that house burglaries can increase of the winter months; this can be addressed with basic crime prevention methods such as leaving a light on if you leave your home at night. A leaflet and press release will be circulated in the coming weeks in order to increase awareness.

Damage to School Premises.
Over recent weeks damage to the Infants School on Church Road Trimdon Village has come to my attention. The majority of the damage has been next to the library car park. Anyone found in this location will be dealt with positively and removed from the area.

Sale of Alcohol to Children.
A reminder to any adults who supply alcohol to juveniles that this is an offence. Anyone who comes to police attention regarding this can be arrested and may be issued with a fixed penalty notice which incurs a eighty pound fine.
