Ken, found the Trimdon times during my lunch break, found it very interesting, the old photo’s of front street and the village green around the churh St Mary Magdalen’s. I was brought up in Boyne Farm for those of who remember us going around the doors selling potatoes from the back of a trailer and the pigeon lofts in the paddock filed which lead to the Legion Club which is now houses.
I joined Friends re-united but got very few replies, so for those of you out there reading this and remember me get typing. all the best
Les

Re, William Wilson, try friends united, type in the school and the year you left, you will find a lot of names you may recognise. I am terrible for names, until i see a face. I don’t have any photo’s from around that period, best of luck with your search. George

A very interesting site , We are very happy that someone has taken the time and interest to gather informaton on our former villages. Re William Wilson, I was at Trimdon Secondary school circa 1966, The name rings a bell , but hey , they say if you remember the 60’s you wern’t there.

Very good site, easy to navigate well laid out and easy on the eyes. I keep looking for other villages in Co Durham to encourage them to join “Co Durham Village Web Sites” am pleased you found me, if you need any more photos or old OS maps you could try Beamish Museum, they have tons of stuff, just make an appointment via Jim Lawson jimlawson@beamish.org.uk pop down and have a look see on the system, keep up the good work.
