Raising the roof with pie, peas and a fun-filled quiz

Quiz-lovers are being invited to put their knowledge of the local area to the test while enjoying a pie and pea supper in a bid to raise funds to repair Sedgefield’s ancient church roof.
General knowledge questions on a range of topics will also feature in a special ‘Raising the Roof’ social evening at Ceddesfeld Hall on September 22nd.
The evening is being organised by members of St Edmund’s Church who are keen to see a start made on repairing the roof of the North Transept which was vandalized by lead thieves earlier this year.
Estimated cost of the repairs is around £30,000.

Church Reader Michael King said this week: “The quiz and supper night is always a very popular event. Tickets are limited and early application is essential to avoid disappointment”.
