Information Update – 7th Sept 2012

Garage Burglary
Within the last week there have been two further sheds/garages broken into in the Trimdons, the latest being in Berry Ave Trimdon Grange where 2 quad bikes and a small off road bike were taken. The off road was found in bushes a short distance from the location of the crime. Can all householders who have a garage or shed, in particular with motorbikes or quad bikes stored in, them  take extra steps to secure them. Also during the day do not leave any of this type of property on display, please keep all shed and garage doors closed, as the recent properties appeared to have been carefully selected and potentially “cased” during the day. Anyone with any information please contact  Sedgefield Neighbour Police Team Office on 101 or contact Crimestoppers.

Information Update – 20th August 2012

Theft from Motor Vehicles.
Within the last week we have had two vans broken into, one in the Grange and one at the Village. Both vans were used for work and had high value tools in the rear. Both vehicles were entered by smashing windows or forcing locks. Please take steps to secure tools within the house or garage if possible to prevent these types of crimes occurring. Anyone with any information please contact us.

Anti Social Behaviour.
So far this year we have had a reduction in anti social behaviour of approximately 63%. This is one of the biggest reductions in the Durham County area, the numerous tactics and partnership working we are now using appears to be paying dividends. Please let us know if you are being affected by ASB.

Neighbourhood Watch Scheme.
We have recently visited our NHW co-ordinators in Trimdon, we currently have 33. The scheme works very well and we are interested in anyone who is willing to join the scheme. The scheme is free to join and only requires you to receive emails and telephone messages and share the information with local residents; we will provide you with regular updates and information to share.

PACT Meetings.
The next Trimdon Village PACT meeting will be on Wednesday the 29th of August 2012 6pm at Trimdon Village Community College.
The next Trimdon Grange and Colliery meeting will be on Monday the 17th of September 2012 6pm at Trimdon Grange Community Centre.

The current PACT Priority for all 3 Villages is in relation to complaints of anti social use of off road motorcycles.
