Information Update – 6th March 2012

Recent arrests
Two local males were arrested and charged in connection with a dwelling burglary which occurred overnight on 1st March 2012 in Regent Terrace Fishburn.
One of the males was also charged with a shoplifting offence – where it is alleged on Thursday 1st March he stole a crate of lager from The Co Op Store Church Road Trimdon Village Both appeared at South Durham Magistrates Court on Monday 5th March 2012 and were remanded in custody to reappear at Court on Wednesday 7th March 2012

Anti Social Behaviour
In recent months we have had some positive results in relation to tackling youth related anti social behaviour. Two local youths are now subject to ABC’s (Acceptable Behaviour Contracts) and will be closely monitored if their behaviour does not improve a ASBO application may be considered.
A local adult male has recently been issued with a Criminal ASBO; this is an ASBO with conditions in relation to the criminal conduct of the individual concerned.

Neighbourhood Watch Scheme
In the forth coming months we will be launching a campaign to recruit more members/volunteers for our Neighbourhood Watch Scheme. The focus will be on certain areas of Trimdon Village that requires more members, however we welcome anyone who wishes to join the scheme from all the Trimdons  If you require any further information please contact us

PACT Meetings.
Trimdon Village – Wednesday the 14th of March 2012 6pm at Trimdon Village Community College Elwick View.
Current PACT Priority is speeding vehicles on the B1278 near to Trimdon Village crossroads.

Trimdon Grange and Colliery – Monday the 19th of March at Trimdon Grange Community Centre.
Current PACT Priority is Anti Social Behaviour and noise on Friday nights at Redesdale Court Shops.
