Talent scouts have been urged to sign up musical youngsters at Trimdon’s Bluebell Meadow Primary School after their performances at the annual Christingle service in the village’s St Alban’s Church brought spontaneous applause from parents and friends.
Lay minister Ron Eyley, who led the service for youngsters in the infants’ classes, commented: “Your singing was just amazing. I’m sure that if any music scouts heard you, they would want you to make a record.”
Children in the Junior classes were also praised for their singing and their knowledge.
The Rev.Dr Mel Gray who took their Christingle service in the school hall, said: “The children sang lustily and merrily. They could answer all my questions about Christingles and they were very well behaved.”
