Crib delights at St Alban’s, Trimdon Grange

The eye-catching, illuminated Nativity scene at St Alban’s Church, Trimdon Grange, delighted worshippers at this year’s Carol Service on Sunday afternoon.

The crib was originally produced by church member Malcom Rutter and was recently updated with new lighting with his help of his grandson, Adam.
The Crib and Christmas tree were blessed during Sunday’s service which was led by lay minister Ron Eyley who thanked those responsible for the ‘delightful floral decorations’. Readings were by Ron and Anne Eyley and Maureen Wilks, the Advent candle was lit by Sylvia Rutter and the organist was Alex Ord.
Refreshments after the service were organised by Sylvia and Irene Grint.

Footnote: The Carol Service at St Mary Magdalene’s, Trimdon Village, will be held at 5.30pm on Christmas Eve.
