Minutes of the Ordinary Meeting of Trimdon Parish Council in Trimdon Community College, Elwick View, Trimdon Village on Tuesday 14 December 2021 at 7:00pm

Present Councillors John Burton (Chair), Ian Coulson, Paul Stephens, Bernadette Oliver, Leslie Oliver, David Smith, Keith Thompson and Paul Trippett.
Joseph Hobson (Clerk to the Council) and County Councillors Chris Varty were in attendance.

52/21 APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE
Apologies for absence were received from Councillors Margaret Elliott, George Elliott, Rob Gilbert, Ian Quinn and Denise Davison
Resolved that the apologies be approved.

53/21 DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST
Councillor Stephens declared a personal interest in respect of the awarding of a grant to Trimdon Grange Community Association (Minute 59/21 b))
Resolved that declaration of interest be approved.

There were no members of the public present.

A report was received from Councillor Varty, a written copy of which is appended to these minutes.

56/21 MINUTES OF THE ORDINARY MEETING HELD ON 9 NOVEMBER 2021
The minutes of the Ordinary meeting held on 9 November 2021 had been circulated with the agenda
Resolved that the minutes of the Ordinary meeting held on 9 November 2021 be approved and signed by the Chairman.

57/21 UPDATE ON PROGRESS OF RESOLUTIONS OF THE ORDINARY MEETING HELD ON 9 NOVEMBER 2021
The Clerk gave a verbal report that the application for a grant from the AAP for the project to improve facilities at Trimdon Grange Rec had been successful at the first stage and would now progress to the AAP Board for its final decision.

Councillor Trippett gave a verbal report about the successful Christmas Tree Switch-on which had been very well attended and many positive comments received. Councillor Trippett said that particular thanks were due to Councillor Quinn, Mandy Quinn and Sandra Redfurn for arranging the refreshments, and to Councillor Burton who had stepped in at short notice to welcome everyone to the event.

Resolved that the reports be noted.

58/21 FINANCIAL

a) The Clerk submitted a report of expenditure approved by the Chairman under Section 4.1 of the Financial Regulations
Resolved that the payments be approved and signed by the Chairman.

b) The Clerk submitted a schedule of payments made between 1 November 2021 and 30 November 2021
Resolved that the schedule of payments made between 1 November 2021 and 30 November 2021 be approved.

c) The Clerk submitted a schedule of receipts received between 1 November 2021 and 30 November 2021

d) The Clerk submitted the bank reconciliation statements (Current Bank Account) 1 November 2021 and 30 November 2021. This was cross referenced with the Current Account bank statements
