Minutes of the Annual General Meeting of Trimdon Parish Council held in Trimdon Grange Community Centre on Tuesday 12 May 2015 at 7:00pm.

Present: Councillor John Burton (in the Chair) and Sheila Appleton, Denise Davison, Eileen Dickinson, George Elliott Snr., Margaret Hughes, Bernadette Oliver, Ian Quinn, Julie Thompson, Keith Thompson and Paul Trippett

Anne Delandre, Clerk to the Council, was also in attendance.

1. ELECTION OF CHAIRMAN

Nominations were received for the appointment of John Burton as Chairman for the forthcoming year.

Resolved that John Burton be elected as Chairman for the forthcoming year.

2. CHAIRMAN’S DECLARATION OF ACCEPTANCE OF OFFICE

John Burton signed the Declaration of Acceptance of Office.

Resolved that the Declaration of Acceptance of Office be accepted.

3. ELECTION OF VICE CHAIRMAN

Nominations were received for the appointment of George Elliott Snr. as Vice Chairman for the forthcoming year.

Resolved that George Elliott Snr. be elected as Vice Chairman for the forthcoming year.

4. APPOINTMENT OF REPRESENTATIVES TO OUTSIDE BODIES

a) Trimdon Grange Community Centre
Resolved that Paul Trippett be the Parish Council’s representative
b) Trimdon Village Hall
Resolved that John Burton be the Parish Council’s representative
c) Trimdon Colliery Community Association
Resolved that George Elliott Snr. be the Parish Council’s representative
d) Sedgefield District Relief in Need Charity
Resolved that the Parish Council be represented by County Councillor Peter Brookes
e) AAP Area Local Council Committee
Resolved that John Burton be the Parish Council’s representative
f) Coxhoe Quarry Liaison Committee
Resolved that John Burton/Parish Clerk be the Parish Council’s representatives

5. TIMETABLE FOR PARISH COUNCIL MEETINGS 2015/2016

The Clerk circulated the proposed timetable for the Parish Council meetings during 2015/2016.

It was proposed that the Annual Meeting of Electors commence at 6:55pm; the Annual General Meeting commence at 7:00pm and the Ordinary Meeting of the Parish Council commence at 7:10pm on Tuesday 10 May 2016.

Resolved that with this amendment, the timetable be approved.

6. PERSONS APPOINTED TO PARISH COUNCIL SUB-COMMITTEES

a) Personnel Sub-Committee
Resolved that Paul Trippett, Keith Thompson, Bernadette Oliver and Ian Quinn be appointed to the Personnel Sub-Committee.

b) Health and Safety Sub-Committee
Resolved George Elliott Snr., Denise Thompson, Eileen Dickinson, Julie Thompson and Margaret Hughes be appointed to the Health and Safety Sub-Committee.

Trimdon Parish Council Annual General Meeting 12th May 2015
