Fly Tipping.
‘Operation: Stop It’ fly tipping campaign – as part of a multi-agency, partnership approach Durham County Council are working with Durham Constabulary, the Environment Agency and Crimestoppers to reduce fly tipping in County Durham. The ‘Operation: Stop It’ campaign was launched in November 2014. The aim is to educate residents, trades people and businesses on their waste ‘Duty of Care’ in correct waste disposal and enforce against those who dump waste illegally.

Latest prosecution linked to operation Stop it;
A man appeared in Darlington Magistrates Court 02.11.15 and pleaded guilty to the offence of fly tipping, he was fined £300 and ordered to pay £500 court costs and £30 victim surcharge.

Christmas Fraud.
A campaign starts today providing top tips on how to stay safe online and steer clear of online shopping fraudsters. ‘Don’t Get Conned Out of Christmas’ will run over the next few working days and is being promoted by Action Fraud and City of London Police ‪#‎ChristmasCon

Information Appeals
Between 16:30 18/11/2015 and 12:00 19/11/2015 a Vauxhall Corsa has had one its wheels stolen. The vehicle was parked in Hart View Trimdon Village and Was found by the owner jacked up on wood minus the wheel. Anyone with any further information or who as seen anything suspicious in this location please contact us and quote DHM-19112015-0235.

Police are appealing for information after a vehicle was damaged in Trimdon Grange on Sunday 15th November. The incident occurred to the rear of South View, whereby unknown persons have damaged a wing-mirror of a Ford Ka parked to the rear of an address between 7am and 11am.

We received three reports of 3 garages being broken into at Trimdon Grange overnight.
Bikes and tools have been targeted; please take all available steps to secure your property. Please report any suspicious activity at any time of the day or night. Please contact us using 101.
