Matters Arising a. Lucy had meeting with Leah Remington from Groundwork’s. Leah to move forward with projects which were high lighted from the environmental appraisal. Trimdon Grange Woodlands (Lease to be looked into with Ian Armstrong DCC Countryside rep). Allotment Entrance and Trimdon Station Appraisal Action Leah Remington to look at funding and costs of appraisal Lucy pointed out that any costs incurred by Groundwork’s would need to be included in bid b. House next door to Myrobella – Lucy requested feedback from next steps meeting via S. Jordon c. Peter reported on the opening of the Community Shop (Treasures) on Sat 04/07/09 which raised £124 in sales. Christine Coomber – 5000 mags to be distributed
Shealagh Pearce – Community Safety Officer DCC
Report from Shealagh Pearce outlining the provision of activities for young people. Information on funding that maybe available to provide such activities. Lucy asked about the Winnebago and the Smart bus. Shealagh reported that the Smart Bus has not been out since April due to lack of funding and drivers. Discussion around possible solution to this problem and various proposals put on table and it was agreed to continue to push forward with this to ensure progress. Action – Shealagh to put together proposal to PCT for funding to use bus. Locality meeting to move forward on provisions for young people. Dave Smith to contact Dave Emerson re- Midas licence and Leah Remington to speak to Mally at groundwork’s. Lucy attending the Third Sector Capacity Work shops at Durham Town Hall on the 14/07/09
Chairpersons report – a. Volunteer Centre – Cavos Spennymoor b. DCC get out there website c. Police PACT meetings d. Premier Waste – Environmental Highlights e. Inclusion – Low Cost access to ITC Facilities and DCC Digital Skills for Durham. Councillors have been allocated 10 computers each for their communities. Ideas on how best to utilise them to be put forward by various people/groups

Allotment Society fete on 25/07/09 10am Trimdon Vill Hall and 08/07/09 Junior School Fete 1 – 3 pm. Community Garden Breathing Space had 70 visitors e. Ladies Night 9/07/09 Bird in Hand ( Butterwick Walk raise £350)
