I was finally ‘staged’ 6th July 2019 at the annual Patrons Concert of Dunvant Male Choir- photos and video below.

The Concert was my first ever choir performance in more than fifty years of harbouring this particular ambition. As you can see from their FB page (https://www.facebook.com/dunvantchoir/) it was very successful.
The event celebrated the 40th Anniversary of the first Patron’s Concert, which featured the pop group, Brotherhood of Man. Attached extracts from the programme show the items performed by the Choir on the night, as well as those by the two guest soloists, Ellen Angharad Williams (Soprano) and Steffan Lloyd Owen (Baritone). The Choir performed sixteen items altogether, including eight in the Welsh Language.

As you may re-call, in my last message I made reference to an important performance involving the Choir that is due to take place. I can now reveal that Dunvant Male Choir will be performing at the wedding ceremony of world famous opera singer Sir Bryn Terfel CBE in Swansea later this month on July 26th. Sir Bryn is marrying Miss Hannah Stone, a harpist who originates from Treboeth in Swansea.

I hope this is of interest to readers of the Trimdon Times.

I regard it as another poke in the eye to myeloma!
