Skerne Park Play Area A bid for additional funding to fence the play area has been submitted to the Borough Council and a decision is expected to be made in November
Housing Provision throughout the Parish Two planning applications for new housing in Trimdon Grange have been submitted. One is a continuation of the development beside the football pitches and the other is to redevelop Rose Street area.
Operation Kilo Many of you will have heard of the Sedgefield Community Safety Partnership and Durham Police’s Operation Kilo that ran in Trimdon during the school holidays. The results were deemed to be very satisfactory in terms of arrests and control of anti social behaviour. A full report detailing the outcomes will be published shortly
CCTV Negotiations are continuing with regard the funding of a CCTV system to operate in Church Road,Trimdon to help control anti social behaviour in that area. As part of Operation Kilo other measures of controlling anti social behaviour in the area have been identified and will be implemented as soon as possible.
Financial Support The Council has donated prize money for the Trimdon and Trimdon Grange Annual Flower Shows as well as making a donation to East Durham Play Network
STOP PRESS – Housing - Trimdon 2000 The Borough Council rejected the planning application for new housing in the village despite the offer of a donation of £0.5m, from the developer for community initiatives including a new or refurbished school and new Health Centre.
