1: Vehicle Crime
A catalytic converter has been stolen from a motorhome in The Orchard, Sedgefield. The owner noticed the missing converter yesterday and the theft could have occurred at some point over the previous week. If anyone has witnessed the theft or any suspicious activity could they please contact PC 1978 Jason Quye by ringing 101. Can residents please be aware of the recent theft and be vigilant in light of it.

3: Off Road Motorbike Advice and Complaints Any persons who ride off road motorbikes are advised to ride them lawfully and respectfully i.e. not in a manner that causes harassment alarm or distress, otherwise they will face action from the police. Motorbikes which are not equipped to be ridden on the road should only be ridden on private land with the land owner’s permission. Any persons identified not following the above guidance will have their motorbike seized and face costs of £140 recovery fee and £50 day storage fee.
Any motorbike is classed by law as a mechanically propelled vehicle and in order to be ridden on the road the motorbike must be hold a MOT, Vehicle Excise License (road tax) and insurance. The rider must also be in possession of the relevant driving license. Failure not to possess any of the above whilst on a public road will result in court proceedings.
4: Male identified and to to be traced regarding off road motorcycle complaints in Trimdon Grange. Address in South View Trimdon Grange visited, and warnings issued regarding recent ASB issues from address, Private landlord is to be made aware should complaints continue. 5: Information appeal – Trimdon Grange. Overnight Saturday 9th March Trimdon Grange person has painted a car, house and pub with no. 0.6 – unacceptable in community – contact Durham police on tel 101 if you have any information.
