Joint Trimdon Partnerships Minutes of Meeting held on 3rd February 2009

1. Welcome and introductions were made

3. Minutes of the last meeting were approved as a true and accurate record
4. Matters Arising
Liability insurance – Request Ginny to obtain quotes from the Rural Community Council, Zurich and Hiscox for the year. Arrange for a meeting on site with Steve Quinn, Probation Service to discuss (Lucy and Su).
Area Action Partnerships – Areas now fixed and agreed.
Urban Renaissance – Lucy spoke to Christine Corker, re: Langdale Oval at Trimdon Colliery environmental appraisal – off street parking. Application likely to be supported, currently in design, work to go ahead this financial year £25,000. Next priority to be discussed.
Trimdon Village, Crossroads scheme, dropped kerbs and tarmac (Peter to bring design to next meeting).
Trimdon Grange Community Centre – Playpark Phase 1 nearing completion bar seating and waste paper bins – huge success – thanks go to Pamela and all those that have worked tirelessly to ensure this has happened.
Lynsay Garraghan – met with Peter Brookes put forward her proposals.
Wind Farm Trust & Leader Course – Su to send forms around, adjust spreadsheet to include list for priority and funders. Special meeting to discuss two weeks today.
Jim McManners to come to next meeting.
5. Action Plan
Update given by Su on behalf of Dave Smith – the Borough Council can put skips out for housing maintenance if we are cleaning up the area.
Tubs – 12 letters issued to various places within the Trimdons, 10 affirmatives.
Solar panel down the Trimdon Village Community Gardens – arriving this week.
Trimdon Village Community Gardens - Composting toilet – work will commence this Spring.
Trimdon Colliery old building currently being demolished.
Development of Master Plan around Trimdon Grange and Trimdon Colliery - feasibility studies prices to be sought from Groundwork East Durham.
Purpose facilities for young people needed right across the Trimdons.
6. Gail Bland – DTA
We are members of the Development Trust Association. Would like Gail to attend and see how she can help the DTA.
Possibility of Open evenings enabling capacity building, filling in funding forms etc.
