Opening: The regular meeting of the Joint Trimdons Regeneration Partnership was called to order at 7.10pm on Wednesday 25th April 2007 in Trimdon Colliery Community Centre by Peter Brookes (Chair).

B. Approval of Minutes The minutes of the previous meeting were approved as distributed.
Treasurers Report
High Interest Account £8558.40 Current Account 3300.05 Petty Cash 88.86 Stamps 2.64 We are allowed to withdraw £ 10.00 per month from Barclays from the current account and £ 250.00 per month from the High Interest Account. We have had a letter for the membership of Development Trust Association for £ 58.75 could we go ahead. Majority of members agreed.
Matters Arising
Companies house form hadn’t been completed properly for Denise Davison Action Denise to complete and Ginny to send off.
Red report Lucy wanted us to go through it again Action Ginny was going to take home and go through it
Charity form was returned due to our constitution wording Action Peter was taking home and reviewing the form. Also to put a handbook in with the form
Funding bids (Awards for all and the Lloyds TSB) Lucy had took these to complete. We need to find out how this is progressing Action Ginny to ask Lucy and report back
Quarry objection from the Joint Trimdons Regeneration Partnership Irene Grint wanted this matter discussing further as she hadn’t been at previous meeting Peter explained what it entailed and why we objected. Wagons were being reported coming through Wingate Road in the early hours of the day. Action Peter to send a letter of objection
The Messenger some complaints about the delivery of this leaflet.. Residents were receiving this too late for some of the events advertised. Dawn said that there had been no volunteers to help staple and fold them so that withheld the delivery. Action Dawn to mention to Margaret (who is Editor of the Messenger) Update on Sub-group meetings
Personnel In the Personnel sub-group meeting a Job Description had been agreed and hopefully on a 3 year funding bid. It was agreed to advertise the Regeneration Officer’s post on a 20 hour per week basis. Also the Regeneration Officer to work from various depots within the Trimdons. The Regeneration Officer would be expected to meet and get around all the community groups. It was also agreed that we would also employ an Admin worker to assist the Regeneration Officer.
Funding No meeting had been arranged as the Regeneration Officers post had not been agreed. Angela Robson expressed to join this sub-group.
Any Other Business Trimdon Carnival:- The following people are willing to help with this event Beryl Docherty, Robert Cooper, Sean Wainwright, Paul Trippet who donated £ 450.00 It was agreed that this would be based at Trimdon Village.
The Church Flower festival is being held between the 17-21st July 2007 and provided that the Church agreed we would work within one of these days to hold the Carnival. Need to get permission from Parish Council Action Les Oliver to do
Health and Safety Regulations Action to ask Tim Spearey
Planning event Action Dawn Kelly, Ginny Kemp and Denise Davison Trimdon Brass Band and Sphere to be approached to do a display Dancing school to be approached
Events being held locally Skerne Play park were holding a fund raising event possibly on the 27th July 2007
Trimdon Grange Community Centre have Bingo every Thursday night Andrew Luke is hoping to arrange a Classic Car event in the Summer Deaf Hill Primary School have a course on Childhood illnesses on Wednesdays. In September a 10 week course for Counselling possibly on Wednesdays
Cycle club is holding a Coast to Coast at the end of May. Also the cycle club loan bikes to individuals (adults and children). They hold a repair club to encourage children to learn how to repair bikes. Walking club is held on Fridays 10.00am from Trimdon House. Need new members. Kitty Rowan is the organiser.
