Good Practice Guidelines

an open letter from Trimdon Station resident Pat Chatterley

Though not set in stone the following is deemed good practice –
National Association of Councils/protocols/Guidelines/Duties etc.
page 132, paragraph 7

“It is the National Association of Local Councils policy that Party Politics should have no place in Parish councils – the concept being that Parish Councillors are there to serve their community and should not be sidetracked by party political issues.
N.A.L.C. does not therefore encourage Parish Councillors to adopt political groupings”

This being said i would suggest that the Labour party has made this election very much Party Political by sending out the ‘Big Guns’ to campaign.
