CAVOS is an umbrella body for community and voluntary organisations, and individuals involved in community work, throughout Sedgefield Borough. CAVOS provides a range of services and support for community and voluntary organisations, including:
• Information and advice, including how to set up a new group, finding funding, the law and regulation of community groups etc • Resources, such as publications and display materials •Training, usually free of charge, such as running a community group, fundraising or First Aid • Contacts and networks, including help and support in making local contacts and joining networks and partnerships • Volunteering opportunities through the Volunteer Bureau
