CAVOS BEFRIENDING PROJECT
Would you like to play a more active role in your community?
Do you lack the confidence to take that all-important first step?

CAVOS CAN HELP!!!

CAVOS is developing an exciting new project aimed at those people who need that little bit of extra support and encouragement to help them into volunteering or training.
CAVOS has a wide range of volunteering and training opportunities to offer, but understands that not everyone has the confidence to take the plunge.
Funding from Sedgefield Borough Council’s Neighbourhood Renewal Fund will enable CAVOS to recruit and train volunteer Support Partners who will work with people to help build their confidence. Over a period of weeks or even months they will work with people on a one to one basis, building a positive relationship and

helping them to overcome the barriers that are preventing them from moving on.
CAVOS is looking both to recruit volunteers who are keen to train as Support Partners and to make contact with people who feel that they might benefit from the friendship and encouragement a Support Worker could provide.
If you would like to find out more about the CAVOS Befriending Project in either capacity, please telephone Freda or Sharon at the
CAVOS office in Spennymoor
on 01388 811 115.
