Trimdon Cycling Club
A new cycling club is being launched in Trimdon and we are looking for new members, individuals and families (children must be accompanied by an adult). Membership forms are available from Trimdon House, or by phoning 883063. We currently cycle every Sunday morning (weather permitting) and meet at 10.30am outside the old cemetery (Trimdon Village).
Members stop for a picture on the cycle path at Wynyard, (Sunday 28/1/07) | Other projects within the cycling club will be:- • Cycling maintenance classes • Regular outings to some of thelocal and national cycle paths. (for safe off road cycling). • Sponsored Coast to Coast (Whitehaven to Sunderland). May 2007, (now fully subscribed). • Involvement with cycling initiatives with local school and the Rural Youth Project. • Bike loan schemes, • Bmx days, We would like to say a big thank you as we have received funding from, Linpac Filmco, KoolKash (Sedgefield Borough Council), Trimdon Parish Council and a contribution from the Trimdon Messenger. Can I also say a big thank you to a lady and gentleman from the, White Water Rapids centre at Teesside Barrage who whilst walking their dog on the cycle path on Sunday morning very kindly donated £10 for the Coast to Coast ride in May of this year. I hope we can get a lot of interest for this project and that we see a lot of families getting involved.
