POLICE REPORT

Beat Surgeries
Due to operational commitments and some poor attendances my monthly surgeries in the Trimdons will no longer take place. The facility to e-mail me directly is still available and I am contactable at Sedgefield Police Office on 0845 60 60 365.

Pub Watch
Last months meeting saw a local female banned from all member premises in the Trimdons and Fishburn, this was due to a number of recent incidents brought to our attention. The ban is for six months and should it be breached can be extended, these monthly meetings between Police, Licensees and the local Borough Council Licensing Dept show that anyone who misbehaves in licensed premises will face a ban.

Anti Social Behaviour
Again we have had more success in this area thanks to local residents. Recently we received information from local residents regarding youths congregating at a local address and drinking and possibly using controlled drugs. Thanks to this information a local youth has been arrested and the premises in question are now subject to an investigation from Sedgefield Borough Council Tenancy Enforcement Team, the problems at this address have now greatly reduced.

Off Road Motorcycles
A reminder to anyone who owns an off road motorcycle, quad bike or mini motto. Anyone found riding any of these machines off road and on land without permission will initially receive a formal warning and on the next occasion have the machine seized and possibly destroyed. Anyone who decides that they want to ride on public land without a licence or insurance will immediately have their machine seized and face court action. Anyone who has permission to ride on public land must be able to provide the name and address of the land owner to Police in order for the permission to be verified.
