2nd February 2020
Trimdon United Juniors U13s were at home to Whinney Banks today on a day where we had 4 players missing due to illness and injury so the squad was stretched to its maximum today we nearly went 1.0 down In under a minute if it where not for Kye pulling off a great save Whinney banks were a physical team and gave us a battle there high press was proving a problem to break through but against the run of play we would go 1.0 Up when Jay put a great ball in to space and Matt would beat 2 players and his cross was deflected in by one of the banks defenders 1 soon became 2 when Ellis fired a great cross over from a free kick and Layton side footed home at the back post Banks were still proving problems going forwards but shay and Lochlan were proving hard to beat it the middle and Alfie and Liam were winning there individual battles but we still felt we had to make a change so Matt dropped in to the midfield to put 3 players in there and this paid dividends for us we would go in 2.0 up at half time
We started the second half in the worst possible manner conceding to a cross that was tapped in near post and again if it were not for Kye making a huge tackle of his line it would have been 2.2 but the lads started to want to win battles and we would go 3.1 up when Jay found Ellis in space and he picked the top corner out for on around 25 yards we would add a 4th when Jay fired a corner in and Ellis half volleyed home we were so close to a 5th when Charlie found Ellis and he slid it past the keeper but there was not enough pace and it was cleared off the line the banks keeper had a lucky escape when Liam sent a searching ball from deep inside his own half that would nutmeg the keeper but just ran out of steam before the line Ellis would complete his hat trick when Jay fed him down the channel and he side footed past the keeper Jay then got his rewards for a great performance when he scored direct from a corner the lads all battled superb in really wet and cold conditions Shay and Mason won loads of 50/50s during the second half and Matt covered every blade of grass as did Jack who tackled everything that moved a superb result to run out 6.1 winners against a very workman like team who wanted to fight for everything
Today’s MOTM was Jay who after getting kicked off the ball showed great desire to go back and play a part in 5 goals today scoring 1 and assisting another 4

Trimdon U13S were away to Seaton Lions in the county cup today in very windy conditions the hosts started well with the wind in there favour but we would go ahead against the run of play when Jay put a superb ball through for Ellis to put us 1.0 up the hosts kept testing us with through balls and Kye had to be off his line to deal with the danger , but Seaton would get level when there striker robbed Kye and slotted home but Kye made up making a huge tackle to prevent a second then just on the stroke of half time Ellis got to the bye line and put Matt in only for the keeper to make a superb save but Layton was on stand bye to slam home and put us 2.1 up right on half time .

Second half we started well pinning the hosts in there own half but we were denied by a great goalkeeping performance then Seaton would catch us on the counter and draw level before snatching a 3rd to go 3.2 up with 5 mins to go the lads would dig deep and showed great character to keep going till the end and Jay swung a great cross in for Charlie to put a superb header home and make it 3.3 with seconds left on the clock full time 3.3 dreaded penalties were to follow and goals from the spot from Jay Liam Charlie and Ellis backed by Kye making a save and then Seaton putting another over the bar saw us through to the next round everyone of the lads kept going tight till the end and this battling display shows we can battle and come out on top in tough games I could not be prouder seeing the lads win a penalty shoot out for the first time in 5 years of watching them

Trimdon United were away to Riverside Juniors in the challenge cup today in very cold conditions and the lads started well testing the keeper on two occasions before we were caught on the counter and were made to pay going 1.0 down but this group of lads don’t give anyone an easy shift and went straight on the attack but we were to be caught on again and Kye pulled off a great save and then again we had Alfie L to thank for a superb save but then the turning point came when Jay fed Ellis who was brave against the keeper and tapped In to finish another goal followed when Ellis broke away and finished well it was one way traffic and we were unlucky not to add another when Mason was denied by a great save despite being brought down at the same time we would then win a free kick on the edge of the box minutes before the break and Charlie produced some magic curling One in to the top corner 3.1 up at half time the lads came storming out the second half and the keeper denied Ellis after some great link up play with Liam and Layton but Ellis would complete his hat trick when he went on a run and slammed one past the keeper Jay was then unlucky not to add one when he shot just wide of the post but he would put a great ball in for Mason to go in so brave with the keeper and nod it round him and then slammed home to make it 5.1 a lot of changes today with a few injuries but the group were superb again a winning habit is a great one to have today’s MOTM went to Ellis who was ran close by Mason and Jack great stuff lads

Trimdon United U13s were at home to Marton today and started strong testing the Marton keeper several times before Jays shot clipped off Matt and eventually put us 1.0 Up it was one way traffic as the lads kept getting shots away but the Marton keeper was proving to be a hard man to beat we did eventually get a 2nd when Kieron passes to Keegan who with his back to goal swivelled and put 1 in the top corner we would soon add a 3rd when Charlie found a lovely ball for Kieron to finish well then Liam found a great finish to beat the keeper from some way out a 5th would be added when Jack on his return following injury found a screamer leaving the keeper no chance we continued to play some great football and Matt added a 6th when he was one on one with the keeper and rounded him and finished well .
The second half started with a wave off attacks but again the Marton keeper was frustrating the lads but a 7th came when Keegan finished well Jack would add a 8th with a great glancing header we then had another run off some top saves from the Marton keeper and two goals ruled out for offside before Liam found the bottom corner to make it 9 Ellis would add a quick fire double to get the reward his effort deserved and we add a 12th when Jay found the top corner .
Today shows how far we have came as a team Marton were champions of division 4 last year and we never let them have 1 shot at Kye some great performances today plenty of game time for all the lads it was hard to call MOTM again due to so many good performances but just due to the fact of how good he was after a long time out today’s MOTM was Jack

Trimdon United U13s we’re away to Darlington 21st Allstars in the cup today our opponents only had 10 players but they hit us with an early goal when they counter attacked us and there fast striker did well to finish after this the lads dominates the game and goals from Jay ,Matt 4 and Ellis would see us lead 6.1 at half time we had been rotating players on and off and the lads kept the same level which was great to see we create numerous chances and hit the bar on several occasions we again dominated the second half and would run out 12.2 winners goals were added from Ellis Keegan2 Liam 2 Jay and a great finish from Mason it was nice to see the lads remain composed and in control to beat a team who beat us on penalties in a pre season tournament . Hard to give a MOTM today so we will say the full squad were joint Men of the Match today back to he league next week and hopefully our first home game of the season today’s result means we are still in two cup competitions and sat in a healthy league position the hard work starts now lads

29th September 2019
The lads were away at SPR Reds today in our 2nd league game of the season and we turned up to find the pitch was in a decent good condition despite the heavy rain we have had we started really well and tested the SPR keeper with a couple of shots from distance we made the break through when Kye confidently played to Alfie Nielson who beat a man and found Jay who put a lovely ball for Ellis to slip under the on rushing Gk 1.0 to us , we found a second when Kieron and Liam took a clever short corner and Liam’s cross was put away by Keegans looping header the lads were playing some lovely stuff despite the wet conditions and when Matt slipped away from two strikers he played a long ball for Ellis and Jay to run on too Ellis decided to chance his look and he slammed the ball past the keeper to make it 3.0 Kye was called into action on a couple off occasions from distance but his handling was flawless we made a few subs around the 20 minute mark and one of them Layton was showing some lovely stuff beating players with ease he was only stopped by a shove in the back which the ref missed however he went again seconds later and this time was only stopped by a foul winning us a penalty despite Ellis being on a hat trick he gave the pen to Layton who unfortunately dragged it wide but his head did not drop we went on 3.0 up at half time
2nd half was a test for the lads as the pitch became heavy but Keegan would continue to drive the lads and he linked lovely with Liam who set dean away on a run only for his cross to come to nothing , we added a 4th when after defending a corner Kye took a long goal kick for Mason L to break through 1.1 vrs the GK and he dinked the keeper perfectly the game was becoming more of a battle as tackles went flying in these were lead by Mason F who put 2 crunching tackles in which lifted the lads 2 go again SPR would get a consolation when they caught us on the counter and after hitting the bar there CF tapped the rebound home but we would go again and find a 5th when Ellis beat 2 and then went in for a 50/50 and out stretched the defender to a lot home and complete his hat trick a great performance by all involved today
Today’s MOTM was a joint decision with Matt playing at CB and being superb and Ellis with his 3 goals and overall performance sharing the award we are away in the cup next week and will look to keep building on today’s performance well done
