THE MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE ANNUAL PARISH MEETING OF THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT ELECTORS OF THE PARISH OF TRIMDON FOUNDRY HELD ON WEDNESDAY 14th MAY 2008

1. THE MINUTES OF THE ANNUAL PARISH MEETING OF THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT ELECTORS OF THE PARISH OF TRIMDON FOUNDRY held on 9th May 2007 a copy of which was circulated to those present were confirmed as a true record.
2 .THE FINANCIAL STATEMENT FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31ST MARCH 2008 & AUDIT FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31ST MARCH 2007
The Report of the Parish Council’s Accounts for the year ended 31st March 2008 a copy of which had been circulated to those present, was considered. The report of the Council’s Auditor BDO Stoy Hayward had been received and the recommendation made within in which had been actioned.
RESOLVED that the report of the Parish Council’s Accounts for the year ended 31st March 2008 be received and the information given, be noted.
3 .LIST OF PROJECTS CARRIED OUT DURING 2007/2008
Councillor J Grigg, Chairman reported in detail the actions and work which had been carried out by the Parish Council over the past year which included:- firework display – provided free of charge for all of the village new cemetery tap & renewal of all pipe work creation of a new water supply to the allotment/leisure gardens new service contract to maintain the bowling green to a high standard support to:- • local residents – school transport • planning issues:- Greenlane Nurseries House with integral studio/workshop, land rear of west view Donations to:- The Learning Library Deaf Hill Ward Regeneration Partnership The Messenger Trimdon Station Resident’s Association Summer trip Monies received into the parish council:- • successful grant funding from Community Safety Partnership towards fencing work to the recreation area • re imbursement of monies from DCC (fencing community centre) • successful recovery of vat claims that had been pending for three years RESOLVED the report of the Chairman be received.
4. RESOLUTIONS OF WHICH WRITTEN NOTICE HAD BEEN RECEIVED
The Clerk reported that no written notices of resolutions had been received. RESOLVED that the information given be noted.
5. OPEN SESSION
There were no items or questions raised by members of the public. RESOLVED that the information given be noted.
