Annual General meeting held 17th May 2006 Meeting opened at 6.30pm
Kay Tweddle, our new Parish Clerk, circulated minutes of the last A.G.M meeting held May 2005, Financial Statement for year ending 31st March 2006 and a list of all projects carried 2005/2006 were read by members and recorded as true.
Election of Committee remains the same: CHAIRMAN: G MARTIN VICE CHAIRMAN: G.A. MASON Councillors Mesdames: A Mason, L Grigg, J Freak (E.DC) Messrs: B D Ferguson, J W Grigg.

Normal Meeting proceeded at 7pm The new Parish Clerk was welcomed on board, minutes of meeting held April 19th were circulated and recorded as true
1/ The Chairman advised on discussions at a joint meeting held at Wheatley Hill regarding anti-social behaviour. It was noted that problems being experienced were the same throughout all of the Parishes present and the need for better contact and communication between the Police and the public was stressed .The Police agreed to hold regular surgeries, including the Partnership Organisations that existed in each village. Members were keen to see the two Trimdon Parishes working together ,despite being within different District boundaries.
2/ Police matters: PC Neil Johnson gave a update on incidents since the last meeting; much the same, youths causing a nuisance, but a member said of an incident where a pigeon loft had been burned down and five pigeons found strangled, also fifteen missing . The members asked about the incident that had occurred that very same day, and he said he would give us a full report at the next meeting.
3/ Members of the public reported the disgrace of the rear of Station Road East and presented photographs which were given to District Councillor Joan Freak, who said she would give them to the environmental officer
4/ Power Supply to the Sports Changing Facilities: Chris Bell was still in discussion with N.E.D.L regarding this matter.
5/ We have had a offer of £27,000 from East Durham Ground Work Trust for the Recreation Ground to update facilities for youths etc
6/ Mr C Gooding has been employed by the Parish for 16hrs a week to carry out day to day tasks in the Parish.
7/ The Parish so far are very impressed with the new Parish Clerk, she is a great asset Our previous Clerk Bob Gott was at the meeting and at the close of the meeting the Chairman and Members thanked him for his hard work over the last ten years in which he had worked for the Parish Council, and wished him the best of luck and health in his retirement
