Skerne Folk Concert
The event on January 23/09 in Trimdon Labour Club raised £500, thanks to the generosity of everyone there.

Easter Egg Hunt
This fun event for families is being organised by Peter & Jaimie Hinde in St Mary Magdalene church grounds on April 4th 2009. Details will be advertised later.  Watch out for lots more events throughout the year.

Planning Permission
This is now with the Borough Council and we should get to know something by the latest at the beginning of April.  After that we need a Diocesan Faculty in order to proceed to the tendering stage.  Meanwhile we continue to raise funds and apply for grants.

---------------------------

EILEEN’S COPPER FUND
Collect your loose change for Eileen Wilkinson’s Copper Fund in support our Sunday School.
There’s a jar on the table at the back of church.
Did you know that it was Mrs Eileen Harrison who started the fund and Eileen Wilkinson graciously took over when Mrs Harrison was no longer able to continue?

CHILDREN’S SOCIETY SPONSORED WALK
Suzanne Hopper, our new Children’s Society fundraiser, is organising a sponsored walk round the three Trimdons on Saturday February 28th at 10.00 am from church.
She hopes as many people as possible will support her first event by either walking or sponsoring.
Sponsor Forms are at the back of church.
Then on Sunday March 1st, we welcome the Area Organiser from the Society to our morning service.
