my g.g.grandparents lived in trimdon in station road in 1870s my g.g.granda died about 1869.He was called thomas asselbrough born in high felling. His son Mathew married margaret brown and they moved to 28 reading room row at the time of the pit disaster. They had at least 16 children but only seven survived.Sarah, ruth, ethel, janet, polly, mary ann, and their only boy Mathew jnr who was killed in ww1 I wonder if any of their descendants are still in Trimdon? Love the website by the way, especially the photos.

Saw a posting from Kevin Flint. That's funny. I used to hang out with Kevin when I went to Deaf Hill school. Now I'm living in Canada. I have a couple of kids now that I love to torment and go dirtbiking and camping with. My brother showed me this site and I'd though I'd send a posting. Anybody remember me then send a message out there to the address above. All the best from Canada!
