This is a great site for ex-pats to keep in touch with what is going on in Trimdon.
I would just like to let everyone know how proud I am of my Dad, Mr. Bill Robson, of Trimdon Village. He is 80 years old and has just passed his GCSE in Art. Something that he never got the chance to do when he was younger. So if you see him sitting at his front door or up at the Village club, shake his hand and tell him Congratulations. We are all Very proud of him.

I belive Overmans Row was on the west side of Trimdon Grange Front Street, I could be wrong!
Do a google search for trimdon history, you come up with some pretty good street maps from 1820's.

 Hi
Im doing family research on my Ramshaws who came to Trimdon 1861 census and stayed there. My great grandad John henry ramshaw- known as ralph sometimes i think moved to station town early 1900s when he married Lucy Reed.Lucy was the daughter of Squire Reed who also settled in trimdon- coming from yorkshire.
I see ther are loads of ramshaws in trimdon through the 1800s and i am busy trying to work out relations. The Soulsbys seem to feature in my family tree and there is a Henry Ramshaw in every generation.- My dad is Henry ramshaw- known as Harry, born station town 1931.
If anyone has any comments i would love to hear frrom you.
Carol

Perusing the site with much interest. My late grandfather Robert Orton (1912-1990) came from one of the Trimdon's I'm not sure which, but his family home (his father was also called Robert and apparently a coillery Manager) was 29 North Plantation. I am told now demolished.
Can anyone remember my grandad.
He attended Henry Smith Grammer School in Hartlepool
Cheers
