Information Update - 17th December  2007

Operation Fosstoncity 2007
This operation was set up in October 2007 to tackle anti social behaviour in and around Church Road Co-op and Library. The operation has resulted in five arrests being made and a recent reduction in problems in the area. Targeted patrols will continue over the Christmas period and in to the new year anyone arrested and charged will also be subject to bail conditions which exclude the person(s) responsible from the immediate area.

Police Community Support Officer
Our local PCSO Dean Wilson is leaving us to join Durham Constabulary as a Police Constable, his assistance and patrols have been of great assistance to me over the last year. Dean will be replaced in the new year by Gavin Rutter who has been working as a PCSO  in the  Newton Aycliffe area.

Trimdon Pub Watch
The pub watch scheme which operates throughout the Trimdons has been a great success over the last year with only a handful of people receiving banning letters.
Anyone who comes to our attention over the Christmas and new period will receive bans accordingly depending on the incident, meetings will continue over the holiday period.

Trimdon Library
Durham County Council are responsible for the day to day running of the Trimdon Village Library in Church Road . Over recent weeks a number of local youths have been misbehaving on the premises causing annoyance to staff and members of the public. Anyone who does misuse these facilities will be banned from the premises by Durham County Council and receive a letter from the Council and the Police . Each incident will be brought to my attention and should any criminal offences be identified the persons responsible will be arrested.
