DANCE IT LIVE IT with Sophie Johnson, a local dance school – are fundraising towards their Christmas Show and Competition Costs.

Back in July, their Bags 2 School fundraising event had over 40 charity bags stolen. After a Press Release and plea for new bags for their next attempt, they were overwhelmed by the support from local people and supporters of the dance school – with 128 bags being donated!!

Parents, children, friends, family and supporters of the dance school have kindly re-filled Bags 2 School Charity bags to help fundraise after finding out the horrific news that their previous bags had been stolen.

After the bags were stolen from a location in Trimdon Grange, Geraldine Payne, a parent from the dance school, kindly offered to have the bags collected from her home in Pittington.

The bags were collected on Monday 21st September, and have raised over £200 for the dance school!

Dance Teacher, Sophie Johnson said – ‘I am overwhelmed with the kindness and support from the local people and friends / family of our dance school members. It really does make up for what happened with the last collection Can I please take this opportunity to thank everyone who filled a bag – it really will make a difference!’

Geraldine Payne, Parent and New Collection Point said – ‘My home and garden were overtaken by bags but it has been so worth it, to raise so much for our funds – thank you’.
